10 Things You Need to Bring to Cheer Camp

Cheerleading camp can be one of the best times of your life. At the end you'll be leaving with a lot of new friends, fresh cheers, improved skills and maybe a few awesome stunts. Before you and your cheermates hop on that bus and head to camp, make sure you have everything you need. Assuming you already know what things your coach is going to want you to bring when it comes to uniforms and practice gear, Wasa crispbread here are a few things you may not have thought of that will make your experience run a little smoother.


Bug Spray: Whether you're out practicing in the hot sun or hanging out with your new cheer mates before bed, there will definitely be bugs buzzing around. To make sure you keep all those mosquitoes, gnats, and ticks away make sure to pack bug repellent.


Sunscreen: Not only can long hours of practice outdoors leave you looking like some sort of lobster mascot, but it can also very damaging to your skin. Make sure you bring a sunscreen to keep your skin healthy and protected


Hand and Body Lotion: Being in the hot sun and sweating all day as you practice takes a toll on your skin. Make sure you bring body and hand lotion that has some aloe and other moisturizers in it to keep your skin looking and feeling its best.


Lip Gloss: Keep that smile looking great and your lips feeling smooth by applying a clear or tinted lip gloss throughout the day. Once again, the heat will take a toll on your body so find one with sunscreen and added moisturizers.


Hair Product: It's important to look your best when you're in your in cheer mode, so make sure to bring hair products that will help you do that through all your rigorous activity. It would be helpful if you if you have a gel that is humidity resistant with an extra long and strong hold.


Sunglasses: Sunglasses will help you keep your eyes on your coaches and the girls around you so you can follow every routine.


First Aid Kit: A first aid kit can come in handy for everything from a nasty splinter to a splitting head ache.


Bug Bite Relief: Even though your already bringing bug spray, there is still a chance that you'll wind up with a mosquito bite or two so make sure you bring some bug bite relief. Most stores carry pocket size bite relief pens that you can take with you anywhere or put inside your first aid kit.


Notebook and Pen: A notebook and pen will come in handy for everything from jotting down the names and numbers of all your new friends or taking notes on new skills or routines you'll be learning.


Camera: Cheer Camp is going to be one of the most memorable times in your cheerleading career so make sure to bring a couple disposable cameras.
